21st century Exploration
In my earlier post I spoke about the renaissance and the various contributing factors that made it what it was. One of them was exploration. The world' systems, ways of thinking and communication are the way they are today because of exploration, which allows us to conclude that exploration changes the world.During the renaissance, exploration was mainly about discovering the world in which we lived in and our place in it. However, our discoveries and inventions are so great in today's day and age, it had allowed us to believe that the 21st century exploration is not about changing our ways to adapt to the world, but to change the ways of the world so that it may adapt to us.
Here is an essay I wrote at school explaining how the world is continuously changing because of exploration in relevance of 21st century exploring-
The world has been and is continuously changing from time to time all thanks to exploration. Ever since birth a person is an explorer, simple things like communication with people and questioning our worth can be considered as exploring and so as we can see humans are born explorers. Earlier the people of the past kept on questioning themselves as to what the world is and what was there in it. They explored for the gods, glory and gold. They took several risks and went of treacherous voyages that would help them get answers. Slowly and steadily they discovered more and more and so now, we know much about the world. While going on explorations explorers developed several technologies that helped them make their voyages and lives easier. That continuously helped change the world and made sure that their next voyage would be safer. Today we know so much about our world and now that we know about it we are constantly trying to improve the standards of living to make it more secure and comfortable. The scientists of today’s world are our explorers and allow us to learn much more about things that already exist in our planet. As more explorations are made in our world the more our needs, desires and standards will increase as we are adapted to a more advanced life. Because of our ancestors in the past we know so much about our world today and are exposed to a critical way of thinking and understanding the world. We the people of today will make our own explorations and pass it on to the future generations to make their life better and more secure. In the past people’s main priority was god's, glory and gold and that is what they explored for. They found out so much and gave us so much knowledge that we the people of today explore for different priorities of life like comfort, happiness and wealth. With as much knowledge as we have of the world today, we don’t have to worry about knowing who we truly are nor are we pressured to act a certain way based on our cast, religion or gender. We can avail things from all around all over the world and are global free minded thinkers all thanks to exploration.
